Test speed, pretension, specimen preparation and conditioning follow the selected method. For ISO 2062, a 250 mm gauge length is used under the conditions permitted by the standard or by agreement between the parties; the corresponding basic test speed is 250 mm/min. Application suitability depends on specimen force, elongation and secure gripping.
CSSA-02 · PROWHITE
Portable Yarn & Splice Strength Tester
Measure breaking force and elongation of parent yarns and spliced joints. Compare splice performance with the reference yarn and assess results directly on the production floor.
Screen content is illustrative.WORKING PRINCIPLE
Test at the machine. Evaluate on one screen.
Parent yarn and splice testing uses the constant rate of extension (CRE) principle. Automatic electromagnetic grips and adjustable automatic pretension support specimen loading. The 4.3-inch HMI displays breaking force and elongation; yarn count is entered for RKM calculation.
