Fabric tensile & tear strength
Evaluate woven, knitted and nonwoven textile specimens with grips matched to the selected test method.
PROWHITE · 5 kN
Explore the strength and extension of your materials. A single-column, 5 kN CRE system for tensile and compression testing, with pneumatic or manual grips to suit your specimens.

WORKING PRINCIPLE
The moving crosshead travels at a selected constant speed while the load cell measures the force applied to the specimen. The CRE principle supports the evaluation of tensile strength and extension; appropriate fixtures also allow compression tests.
Select the grips, initial gauge length and test speed for your material and test method. The benchtop layout keeps the specimen area and operator controls within reach.
TEST APPLICATIONS
Choose the test setup for your specimen. Application suitability depends on the selected fixtures, force range, available travel and test method.
Evaluate woven, knitted and nonwoven textile specimens with grips matched to the selected test method.
Assess the strength of sewn assemblies and resistance to yarn slippage at the seam.
Measure breaking behaviour using yarn or skein fixtures selected for the specimen and force range.
Evaluate the extension and recovery behaviour of elastic textiles using the appropriate test setup.
Configure the gripping arrangement for material strength, component pull and attachment tests.
Use application-specific compression platens or puncture fixtures for the required loading geometry.
GRIP OPTIONS
Pneumatic and manual alternatives let you configure the system for your material, test method and daily workload.
Air-operated clamping supports convenient specimen loading during repeated tests. Select the jaw faces and clamping pressure for the material being tested.
Requires a suitable compressed-air supply. The operator mechanically secures the specimen in the jaws. A practical alternative for test routines where manual specimen clamping is preferred.
Grip operation does not require compressed air.TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Define the grip and fixture configuration around the material you need to test.
